Alison Mitchell, founder of Mitchell Law Firm, is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer.

Alison has experience in family law, including child support, child custody and access, spousal support, property division and other domestic matters.  Alison has substantial experience drafting all types of domestic contracts, including cohabitation agreements, prenuptial agreements, and separation agreements and interspousal contracts.

In the area of employment law, Alison has worked on cases involving wrongful and constructive dismissal, whistle-blowing, workplace conflict, human rights claims, disputes related to employment contracts, and review of severance packages.

Alison has worked in the area of administrative law, including conduct, disciplinary, and grievance proceedings before various tribunals. 

She has experience in municipal law, land-use planning, construction law, real estate and wills and estates.  She also has experience in debt recovery.

As a litigator Alison has successfully appeared in all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, and in Saskatchewan, the Court of Appeal, the Court of Queen’s Bench and Provincial Court.  As a speaker Alison has made presentations to numerous university-level classes, for PLEA, and Lorman Services.  In addition, Alison is certified to practice collaborative law and is skilled in alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
